We currently seek a high calibre Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our client's team of experienced professionals on a permanent basis. Based in Kuwait, you will be working for one of the world’s leading engineering, procurement and construction companies to the Oil, Gas & Petrochemical sector.

You will have knowledge and/or experience of the following:

• Responsible for leading a team of multi-national Mechanical Engineers operating in a PMC role reviewing and approving EPC Contractor documentation covering design, construction and operation of Projects.
• Also responsible for leading the team during execution of Front End Engineering Design (FEED) covering a wide variety of Upstream Oil and gas facilities.
• Acts in a Consultancy role to advise the Client on issues related to operational problems on all types of Upstream Oil Field equipment. This may include trouble shooting and failure analysis.
• Prepares man-hour estimates and monitors man-hour spend against estimates.
• Monitors progress of Engineering activities in order to meet Project Schedules.


You must have experience of:
• 15 Years, of which 10 years in Oil and gas Industry and 2 years with (preferably) in a Lead Engineer position
• Working for an EPC company, preferably in the Middle East
• Experience in Upstream Oil and Gas Projects including :- Large Rotating Equipment - Pumps , Compressors, Gas Turbines,Pressure Vessels,Large crude storage tanks,Fiscal Metering Systems,Heating and Ventilation Systems,Fire Protection Systems.
• 5 Years previous International experience
• 3 years hands on experience in relevant mechanical Engineering Automation and Software systems

Qualifications:
• B. Sc. Mechanical Engineering.
