Our client is involved in the oil industry, and performs operations such as exploration and prospecting for oil, drilling, production, refining, distribution of petroleum products and exports of crude oil and refined products.
They are looking to recruit a Senior Geologist.
Principle Duties:
• Responsible for reservoir characterization and geocellular modeling using geo-statistical techniques, stochastic modeling, object modeling integrating well log and core data and inputs from seismic with hands on experience in geocellular modeling software.
• Construction of integrated geocellular-models honouring geoscience and petro-physical engineering and data. Basic knowledge on sequence stratigraphy, formation evaluation and reservoir engineering is desirable.
• Development of the geological framework and reservoir models leading to reservoir simulation and field development planning.
• Define and coordinate external studies from geological service consultants, as required. Working knowledge on cutting edge technology application.
Minimum Qualifications
• B.Sc./ M.Sc. in Geology
• Minimum 10-15 years experience
• He / she should have at least 10 years of experience in reservoir characterization, or in development and operation geology.
-Should have experience in development/production geology and static reservoir modeling OR experience in development well planning and execution (including high angle / horizontal wells).
-Must be able to use independently modeling software.
