Title:Contract Engineer-wells
Description of the Client:
Our client, a global energy and petrochemicals group with a worldwide presence. This is a technically challenging work environment characterized by research and the pursuit of new ways of working. They are looking to recruit a Senior Contracts Engineer in the area of Well Engineering.
Principal Duties:
•Ensure that all contracting processes are undertaken in line with contractual commitments.
•Provide proper timely stakeholder engagement to ensure cost recoverability for commitments.
•Prepare and maintain a contracting activity business plan, covering improvement areas as well as routine Contracting & Procurement activities and audit requirements.
•Align or document deviations from standards, procedures, model contracts etc.
•Develop department staff and Contract Holders in Contracting & Procurement to ensure end deliver as per plan.
•Establish Supplier Relationships and feedback with our key suppliers
•Obtain expert advice from specialist departments e.g.
legal, Insurance, treasury, taxation, HR.
•Provide the required management information for review and monitoring of contracting performance
•Act at all time in accordance with the Company’s requirements for Health, Safety and Environment.
•Implement the global category best practices
•Leveraging synergies in activities with other operators in Egypt
Compensation & Benefits:
Approx 10,000-17,000 Egyptian pounds per month + benefits
Requirements:
Degree or equivalent with relevant professional qualifications.
Substantial experience of working directly with contracts preferably in the Middle East. You’ll also have:
• Strong contracting engineering skills
• Strong networking and relationship management skills
• Thorough in the contracting processes
• The ability to work in a multicultural environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with good teamwork
